NATURAL RESOURCES ASSESSMENTS / NEPA COMPLIANCE
Natural resources assessments (NRAs) evaluate the effects of a project on the natural resources of a region. Natural resources include open-space lands, water resources, natural areas, and protected corridors. Under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), a federal agency (e.g., HUD or U
S EPA) may be required to complete an Environmental Assessment (EA), which is the assessment of the environmental consequences (positive and negative) of a plan, policy, program, or actual projects prior to the decision to move forward with the proposed action (i.e., approving a permit or releasing funding). The purpose of these assessments is to ensure decision makers consider the environmental impacts when deciding whether or not to proceed with a project. Credere’s key services included in an NRA or EA under NEPA include the following:
- NEPA Environmental Reviews and Assessments
- Environmental Investigations
- Natural Resource Inventory (NRI)
- Wetlands Delineation
- Soil Surveys
- Due Diligence and Concept Plan
- Design Development and Permitting
